The wine community gathered in Margaret River, Western Australia, on 19 November 2025 to celebrate The World's 50 Best Vineyards 2025. Chile's Vik was named The World's Best Vineyard, sponsored by Resy and Tock. The awards ceremony, held at Amelia Park Wines, recognises the finest vineyard experiences from 15 destinations across six continents.

Vik, a vineyard located in Chile's Millahue Valley and founded in 2006 by the husband-and-wife team of Alexander and Carrie Vik, has been named The World's Best Vineyard for 2025. This designation follows the 2024 winner, Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal in Rioja, Spain, which has now earned an esteemed place in the Hall of Fame.

Ranked No. 2 on the 2024 list, Vik is a pioneering winery and luxury hotel in Chile's Millahue Valley. Nestled on a hilltop with the Andes mountains in the background, the estate spans a 4,450-hectare nature reserve, with 327 hectares dedicated to vineyards planted across 12 distinct microclimates.

The winery combines innovative, sustainable viticulture with striking architectural features, including its floating, bronzed-titanium roof, inspired by the work of Frank Gehry and Richard Serra. Guests can indulge in immersive wine experiences and fine dining at Milla Milla, the signature glass-walled restaurant that boasts a majestic wine cellar and stunning views of the valley.
Visitors have the option to stay in one of 22 themed rooms or seven private bungalows and can participate in activities such as trekking and horseback riding. Known for its commitment to the environment and award-winning wines, Vik truly excels in blending luxury, artistry, and terroir-driven excellence.

Vik, ranked first, is followed by Schloss Johannisberg in Rheingau, Germany, which holds the second position on the list. Schloss Johannisberg, located in Rheingau, Germany, has been named the Best Vineyard in Europe and is ranked No. 2 on the list. Renowned as the world's first Riesling winery, it boasts over 1,200 years of winemaking heritage. Visitors can enjoy guided tours through the historic palace grounds, including the impressive 11th-century subterranean cellar known as the "Bibliotheca Subterranea."

Bodega Ysios, located in the Rioja region of Spain, is renowned for its striking avant-garde architecture, which stands out against the beautiful backdrop of the Sierra de Cantabria. Visitors can tour its state-of-the-art facilities and explore the estate's century-old vines, either on foot or in an electric buggy.

Klein Constantia Wine Estate in the Western Cape, South Africa, has been named The Best Vineyard in Africa and has also received the Highest Climber Award, sponsored by Jack's Creek. This year, it ranks No. 6 on the list, climbing 35 places since 2024. Located in the Constantia Valley, Klein Constantia is renowned for its production of Vin de Constance. Guests can enjoy a scenic vineyard drive in an open-top Land Rover, followed by tastings of this iconic dessert wine. The estate also offers intimate cellar tours, providing insights into the winemaking process.

Jordan Vineyard & Winery in Alexander Valley, USA, has been recognised as The Best Vineyard in North America, ranking No. 13. Set amid rolling hills and olive groves, it offers immersive vineyard experiences. Guests can take guided tours of the estate, enjoy panoramic views, and participate in curated food-and-wine pairings featuring its signature Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

Members of the Voting Academy choose seven vineyards to vote for. There is no pre-determined checklist of criteria or predefined list; each vote represents a nomination for a vineyard experience open to the public that the voter believes is among the best in the world.
